Yamaha 23 Resonite Bb Clarinet - Item# CL671 SOLD

This Yamaha 23N Bb resonite clarinet plays well with a strong tone that is representative of the Yamaha brand. The Yamaha 23 is the precursor to the YCL 20 which came later and like the YCL 20 the YCL 23 has a nice strong tone, is a solid player, and great for the beginning clarinetist.

We've stripped, cleaned, adjusted, polished it as well as replaced 15 pads. It comes in a light-weight "back-pack" clarinet case and is ready to play.

Other details are:

The body is in good used condition with no cracks or chips. There are a few light surface blemishes typical of a used resonite instrument but overall looks good
The keys are nicely polished and in good playing condition
All tenon cork is in good used condition and all the parts fit together with no wobble or leakage
15 new pads; remaining two pads are in good used condition and all pads seal well. Please note that during transport and shipping of a clarinet, due to atmospheric changes and other conditions not under our control, shrinkage and loosening of pads may occur. It is not common but it can occur
The spring tension is good throughout and all the tenon rings are tight
The tone holes are clean and the key height is in good adjustment
Comes with a Yamaha Y12 mouthpiece in used condition; ligature and cap included
Comes in a snappy looking "back-pack" style clarinet case that's light-weight and includes carrying straps and three zippered pockets on the front.
