This Normandy 4 Wood Bb Clarinet plays a very nice tone and is in very good condition (serial #91287). We have completely stripped, cleaned, and oiled it (all wood, keys, screws and springs), making adjustments where necessary to maximize the life and sounds of the clarinet. We are happy to offer this clarinet in a brand new MAX case.

In play-testing, we found every note to play well from the lowest to the altissimo range and we highly recommend this instrument for the student looking to move to the beauty of a wood clarinet. Details:

The body is in beautiful condition with no cracks
There is one very tiny chip in the bottom end of the upper joint which does not effect its playability at all
The keys are beautifully polished, cleaned and oiled and in good playing condition. Spots of nickel plating are missing from the second trill key
All tenon cork is in good used condition and all the parts fit together with no wobble
7 new pads; the rest are in good used condition and all are properly seated and seal well. Please note that during transport and shipping of a clarinet, due to atmospheric changes and other conditions not under our control, shrinkage and loosening of pads may occur. It is not common but it can occur
The spring tension is good throughout and all rings are tight
The tone holes are clean
Comes with an unidentified mouthpiece in good used condition with new mouthpiece cushion, ligature and new cap included
Comes in a brand new MAX case with carrying strap, I.D. tag, and outer zippered compartment for accessories
