Your reeds are the doorway to having a great sound so you want to take care of them so they last a long time.

First, find a way to keep them flat by using a plastic or metal reed guard. There are many types to choose from. Just go online or to your local music store and see what’s available.

Second, you may have a favorite reed, but don’t always use the same reed. Rotating your reeds will give them a longer life.
