Clarinet Service Maintenance Package FAQ's

Our ServiceMaintenance Package is an affordable way to take care of your FrannyToo! clarinet and keep it in good repair. This not only makes sure your clarinet is in good playing condition, but it also increases the likelihood that you or your child will continue playing. You wouldn't want your child to stop playing just because their instrument is not responding.

After a year of constant use, your clarinet should be looked over for leaky pads and get a general tune-up. Maintenance service insures that your instrument will keep performing well.

How much does your service maintenance package cost?

The cost of our service maintenance package is $67.50 and can be bought up to 60 days after purchasing your clarinet. This policy will cover maintenance up to one year after the purchase date of the policy.

What does our service maintenance package include?

We play test your clarinet to determine if there are any problems
Disassemble and thoroughly inspect it
Replace any pads that no longer seal properly or have broken skin
Replace any deteriorating cork and any cork that no longer gives a tight fit
Check the action of the key work and make any necessary adjustments
Straighten and realign any bent keys
Check all the springs and replace if necessary
Clean the tone holes
Oil the bore on wood clarinets
Light polishing of the key work and the body
Reassemble, adjust, and play test to insure your clarinet will perform as it should

Why would I want your service plan rather than go to my local music store?

If, for example, you were to need a total repad and took your clarinet to the music store, it would likely cost between $125 -$150 just for the repad. If you were to need this…it is covered under our policy. Our maintenance package, at $67.50, is a great value that will cover all of the above.

Can you tell me more about shipping costs?

Yes…you are responsible for shipping costs both ways. The cost of return shipping is $12.00 if within the continent of the USA. This will be included in the final cost once you purchase the maintenance package. International buyers…please e-mail us for shipping costs.

What is not included in this plan?

Since this is a service maintenance package, it does not include replacing broken keys or repairing cracks or chips to body of clarinet.

Can I buy a maintenance package if I didn’t buy a FrannyToo! clarinet?

Yes you can. We will do the first maintenance at cost. You can then sign up for a plan and be covered under our policy.
